Portland, Maine

Clark had a random Monday off a few weeks ago, so we decided to take a trip north to Portland, Maine. Overall, it was a bad idea. Clearly we did not do much research before we left because everything was closed for the winter (their none winter months are June-September -- don't live in place like this). And it was FREEZING! We wanted to go the the children's museum (closed Mondays), then the art museum (closed mondays), train museum (closed for winter), and then this historic tower (ya closed for winter). So we went to the public library to look up something to do. We went to a few shops and got some cool souvenirs and good cheese and tasty root beer. Then the sun finally came out so being outside was bearable, thsu we walked along the coastal line.
Thank goodness we found some tasty food, the saving grace of the trip. Lobster and clam chowder. Seriously, the best chowder I've ever eaten. A lady at one of the gift shops told us about a lighthouse on the way home, so made a quick detour as well. By then it had gotten really windy and cold, so we didn't stay out long. Connor was also passed out, so he tried to hide him under the blanket in the backpack.
