Night Float

Clark had night float these past 2 weeks, so Connor and I packed up and left. First stop, TEXAS.
Blake, my brother-in-law had contacted me awhile ago and wanted to surprise Shannon for her birthday by flying me out to see her. I said fantastic, this week would be the best. I talk to my sister a couple of times a week so it was VERY difficult to contain my excitement every time I spoke with her. The flight is 4 hours long and it was a dousy. I got stuck in a middle seat on the way out there and it was a disaster. Connor was kicking and squirmy the whole time. I felt very claustrophobic. He slept a whole 20 minutes, at the very beginning, and was too crammed to eat as well (he's particular in his nursing) and just all in all was an unhappy camper. But the trip was worth it as I knocked on Shannon's new door (which is awesome). She was so confused, as were her kids.

It was an awesome week. So badly needed for me and Connor too! I was getting stir crazy in Lawrence and Connor needed to get out of the house. Although, going to a nice, new house with tile floor wasn't so good for Connor's head. He gained many a bruises and wiped out a lot (poor buddy). But he LOVED his cousins, particularly Graham. Everywhere that kid went, he would watch him and laugh and try to play with him.

They are matchy, matchy here, both tigers :)

Weston and Connor on the other hand had a love-hate relationship. They wanted to play with eachother but just couldn't figure out how. My son would crawl over to him and get so excited that he would thrust onto Weston and grab his hair (which he has a lot of!), which Weston did NOT like (nor do I buddy, nor do I). Weston would usually take the toys away from Connor, which would make Connor upset. But all in all, they did really good crawling all over the place together.

We went on a field trip to the carousel and aquarium. Connor loved watching the fish, I couldn't believe it.

I can't wait until Christmas when we can see them again!

Now the trip to NYC was to see this little guy, Jasper. As you can see in this picture, my son REALLY wanted to eat and play with him :) Jasper is my friend Megan's little guy and is one month old. I couldn't believe how tiny he was and what a monster my child was. Jasper is one loud baby, always making cute baby noises, even in his sleep.

I was able to see Noah and Aubrey as well in their new place. Connor loved hashbrown, the dog (poor puppy). He would kind of chase him and grab his paws. Thanks goodness this dog is unbelievably trained well, otherwise any other dog would have mauled my child. Connor would shriek in delight when he touched him. I tried getting a video but I forgot my charger and my phone died :(
Drove home to a pretty, pretty sunset. Although the sun is completely gone by 4:45pm (ug I HATE that!), the view from our window is incredible most nights afternoons.
