So I've had more time to check it Lawrence since my last post...and well it's still basically the same, except has really pretty views from the canal we live next too. Although there are two things I have discovered that I don't like.
1) football is in Spanish on tv. Seriously it's so weird. It's like some guy is just dubbing himself over Fox. Commercials are still in English and when they cut to show clips from another game, English. It always starts about half way through the first quarter. When Clark first saw it he thought I changed the settings or something. No, no Clark, we just live in Lawrence :) home sweet home
2) there are a ton of pregnant people here. I'm not sure if it's just because I'm more conscious now that I have been or what, but it's odd. While going on a long walk when I took these pictures, I came across this lady who I spotted from a distance out as not stable and clearly high. As she got closer to me she started getting excited about the baby. I was thinking please oh please don't touch him. She then asks how old he is and follows that up with, oh I'm 6 months pregnant. I am pretty sure my face droped! She was on some kind of drugs and probably drunk too. It made me really, really sad for that baby.
