Job Update

I haven't really updated my job status since last time I vented about it a few months ago. Well, turns out I wasn't really wanted where I was, so I decided less stress and a new boss was needed. Of course I turned in a few resumes here and there trying to find a new job with some other company, but nothing ever came out of it, so I sucked it up and switched positions.
Shocker - position I transitioned into was quite different than what I was initially told. But I worked my butt off and turned the whole department around. I emailed my boss in December saying I really have nothing to do. I was kind of ignored but after the holidays settled down and I came back, I pulled my boss away and really explained to him that I have nothing to do.
So as of last week, I now have a new position well additional responsibilities I should say. What do I do you ask? The question should be, what do I not do. HR, interviewing, IT, reimbursement, customer service, pay roll, seriously I do everything. My boss asked me today what I needed to come up with a title for my position, hmmm..the doer of everything, how does that look on a resume?
This past week I've been interviewing for new sales positions in a couple of our outsides offices. Basically I'm on the phone with a bunch of 22-30 year old males who do sales for a living. One of the questions I ask is, "what do you like to do in your free time." Number 1 answer said by 98% of the people I talked to (about 30 people), workout. Ridiculous, seriously. One guy went as far as saying, "i'm very fit and strong." Really dude, just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I'm impressed by you. What a joke!
Although I don't really enjoy my job and was sooo unbelievably close to quitting last Monday (it took so much retraint and Clark reminding me I needed a job). It pays my rent and gives me health insurance. Grrrrr for having to be an adult sometimes.

  1. So sorry to hear about the job frustrations. Been there and HATE that. Seriously nothing worse than hating where you work, especially considering how much time you spend there each week. I hope you feel better about it soon. Just get pregnant and have a baby instead. haha Thanks for updating so much. It's great to read about what you've been up to lately.
