First, we spent labor day weekend in NY. It was a fantastic weekend, although too short. I didn't get to meet up with a couple of friends I wanted to. We left Saturday morning and drove back Monday. Connor slept the entire 3.5 hour ride to NY...WHAT?!?! I know, seriously it was crazy. The ride home was a different story, he only slept an hour and pretty much cried the rest of the time, luckily it's a quick drive.
We stayed with some of our besty friends, Noah and Aubrey, who are always so loving and great hosts. They even offered to watch the Con man so we could go on a date, which we did, to the US Open. The weather was perfect: cool and comfortable. We saw 2 matches, and even got to see Roger Federer, pretty sweet if you ask me. The girls match was an upset, the under dog won, she was 19. It lasted 3 hours, I was getting nervous that the 2nd match was going to go on that long as well. But Federer destroyed his opponent.
The next weekend we went hiking with some friends in New Hampshire. It was beautiful . Too bad Momma wasn't thinking and only packed diapers/wipes, not thinking you would explode our of your outfit (hence why he is naked in the picture and his onsie is hanging out the window to dry). I felt like such white trash...with 2 Indians that is
The weekend after that our friends from Chicago came!!! It was amazing to have the Tateoka's here, it was so what I needed. We did lots of stuff and the kids did great. Parker I think had it by the last day, but he was so good and fun the whole time. Although he did inspire Connor to start sitting up and crawling while he was here.
We started out with a tour of Fenway, then went to the Boston common area after that to do a swan boat ride. Lucky us, we were able to see a proposal on the boat and everything.
Saturday we went to Lexington and Concord and met up with the Baader family, who are also from Chicago and recently moved to western Mass. It was so fantastic being all together. I think period clothing look very flattering on us...hehehe.
Sunday we went to Portsmouth, after the 3 hours of church that is. I loved this place. Beautiful, fun little down. Gorgeous views! We ate a yummy lobster roll as well
All in all, September was a great month!
